Carl Thomas is a very outspoken character who has struggled with ADHD since he was a child but has channelled it into something amazing. Carl now 35 years of age has won the world kickboxing championships on 3 occasions and now turned his time to the world of extreme challenges!
On Wednesday 13th November Carl was Awarded the Point of light award from the Prime Minster for his amazing work so far...and this is only just the beginning! His main challenge are below.
Challenge #1 Marathon Man
Carl with no running experience set off from Trafalgar Square in London and ran 10 marathons in 10 days back to Stockport for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Carl had his knee drained twice, underwent cyropheraphy, lost 7 toes nails and serious ligament and muscle damage.
Carl with no cycling experience completed 150 miles a day around the UK before finishing with a gruelling 300+ cycle from Stirling Castle back to Stockport. The final ride took 29hours, burned 31600 calories and was the hardest thing he has ever done! Teenage Cancer Trust
Challenge #2 Pedal Power
Challenge #3 Plane Marathon
On the 16th and 17th September 2020 Carl successfully made history by being the first human being in history to run a marathon pulling a plane setting a an official world record at the same time. Carl completed the challenge in 23 Hours and 19 minutes at Elvington Airfield in York.
